BeagleBone Black 從 SD 卡開機

取得 image 檔, 這裡使用 2 種不同的 image  :

使用 Win32 Disk Imager    寫入 image 到 SD 卡中.

試了幾次都無法成功.
每次都無法開機, 用 USB-> UART 接上 BeagleBone Black 後, 再用 Putty 連上.
卡在 #UBOOT 底下.

後來可能是筆電內建讀卡機在寫入 image 檔時, 會有問題.
改用外接 Kingston 讀卡機後. 2 個 image 都能順利啟動.

在 Ubuntu 10.04 下安裝 Canon MP568

今天想到要在 Ubuntu 下安裝 MP568 printer, 用 Google 找了一下，找到了 Canon 自己有出 Linux 下的 driver.

下載解開後有2個檔案，先安裝 cnijfilter-common_3.20-1_i386.deb
再安裝 cnijfilter-mp560series_3.20-1_i386.deb
接著在 系統／管理／列印 下新增 printer,
使用 PPD 檔案，在 cnijfilter-mp560series_3.20-1_i386.deb 中可以用套件安裝程式看到路徑。
可以列印了 :-)

Install Jdownloader in Ubuntu 10.04

Open the terminal and run the following command

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jd-team/jdownloader
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install jdownloader

Ubuntu 上的 Hex Editor

另外也有 GHex, 但沒有試過。

Mount nrg file

使用 kiso 就可以 mount .nrg 檔
安裝方式, 使用 command line:
apt-get install kiso

之後會在"附屬應用程式" 就可找到 Kiso

備份 VirtualBox Machine

使用指令:
VBoxManage clonevdi source destination
example:
VBoxManage clonevdi ~/.VirtualBox/HardDisks/WinXP.vdi ~/WindowsXP_Backup.vdi

在套件中找 scim 相關, 裝好之後, 需要重新啟動 SCIM:

$ sudo pkill -9 scim
$ scim -d

Eee PC 900 using Ubuntu

Eee PC 900 內建 windows XP home edition. 想玩玩看 ubuntu 8.04, 又不想更動後來的 windows xp. 於是把 ubuntu 裝在的 8G 隨身碟上.

在 SD 卡上使用 ubuntu-eee-804.iso 及 unetbootin-windows-248.exe 安裝
